Local Business Support Community Food Bank Project

Local businesses SF Media, based at Ransom Wood and Total Integrated Solutions (TIS), of Oakham Business Park, are delighted to announce their participation in the Community Food Bank Project run by veterans charity Joint Forces Alliance (JFA). Both companies will feature food banks at their office buildings in Mansfield.

The Joint Forces Alliance are running a ‘One a Month, Every Month’ campaign, which encourages every employee from every local business to donate at least one non-perishable food item each month, with the aim of ending food poverty in Mansfield.

As well as donating themselves, SF Media and TIS hope to encourage other businesses across Ransom Wood and Oakham Business Park to get involved and donate just one item each month.

Items welcomed include:

  • Tinned and packet foods
  • Toiletries e.g. shampoo, toothpaste
  • Baby food, nappies
  • Pet food
  • Household products

Peter Scully, Marketing Director at SF Media commented:

“We are delighted to be supporting this worthwhile local charity, if each business on our business park gave just 1 or 2 items per month it would make a real difference to the homeless and most needy within our local community. The SF Media food bank at Ash House in Ransom Wood is just the start – we hope to roll this out to all the office buildings here in order to get as many businesses involved as possible.”

Speaking about the success of their food bank, Lauren Howell and Jess Goldsmith from TIS added,

“The guys at JFA do an amazing job, with the vision of putting an end to food poverty and homelessness in Mansfield. TIS are thrilled to be a part of the campaign. Our first month went down brilliantly, a great success. We are now urging other businesses in Mansfield to introduce this to their offices.”
