Friendship to Business Partners to Local Employers in Mansfield.

18 months ago two friends decided to turn a dream into reality and start their own online marketing and web development agency, SF Media. With 25 years of combined industry experience they decided to put their ‘talk’ into action and haven’t looked back since! Their brave move from secure, well paid jobs to entrepreneurs has seen them outgrow their office space and is now creating employment for local people!

From two friends who met at West Notts College 16 years ago, they have taken their business plan and implemented what needed to done to grow their client base and business. They were quick to identify the benefits of aligning themselves within the prestigious Mansfield 2020 business development group. They have been consistent with their networking and taken the opportunities the group provides to local businesses including being named as a finalist in the 2014 – 2020 business awards for Most Promising New Business and Entrepreneurial Spirit Awards.

They have worked hard to grow their client base across the UK as well as raising their profile in the local area. Already they have worked on some fantastic projects as well as forging strong relationships with organisations in Mansfield like West Notts College and Mansfield CVS.

Directors Pete and Jamie share their plans for the next 12 months:

“In order to continue our success and to help us continue to grow, we are moving into larger premises and recruiting our first apprentice to join the team over the next few months, with plans to take on a second apprentice by the end of the year. In addition to the apprenticeships, we also have two HND multimedia students undertaking 8 weeks’ worth of work experience over the summer.”

Marketing Director Peter Scully said,

“We are delighted to be in a position to expand our business and to create employment opportunities for young people in Mansfield. There is a lot of up-and-coming talent in the town and we believe apprenticeships offer an excellent way for young people to get into our industry. We are also offering work experience placements to give students the chance to show what they can do and to gain some commercial experience they can use to help progress their own careers further. We are really excited to be expanding our team and believe this will allow us to take on even more new and exciting projects, whilst still offering the high level of service that all our clients currently enjoy.”
